The Day Before Your Appointment • Shower and exfoliate your entire body, paying close attention to dry areas (elbows, knees, ankles, hands, and neck). • Complete any shaving, waxing, or hair removal 24–48 hours in advance to allow pores to close and prevent irritation. • Moisturize daily leading up to your appointment, but skip lotion, deodorant, perfumes, and makeup the day of your tan. • Pack loose, dark clothing to wear after your appointment—we recommend soft sweats for maximum comfort. Extra Prep Tips • Stay hydrated—drinking plenty of water helps your skin absorb and hold color better. • Avoid oil-based scrubs—opt for a non-oily exfoliator or exfoliating mitt for the best results. • If you plan on getting a manicure, pedicure, lash fill, or facial, schedule these at least 24 hours before your spray tan. • If you’re prone to sweating, lightly dust baby powder on areas like underarms, inner elbows, or behind knees before your appointment. ⸻ Maintaining Your Glow Aftercare is key to keeping your tan flawless and glowing for as long as possible. Immediately After Your Tan • Avoid water, sweating, or skin-to-skin transfer during your processing time (until your first rinse). • Perform your first rinse with lukewarm water only, no soap, and pat skin dry gently—no rubbing. Ongoing Care • Moisturize twice daily with a lightweight, fragrance-free lotion to keep skin hydrated. • Avoid Dove and other cream-based or harsh soaps—choose gentle, sulfate-free cleansers. • Use a fresh razor when shaving to avoid stripping your tan. • Limit exposure to hot tubs, chlorine pools, and long baths, which can cause premature fading. • Always apply SPF when outdoors—spray tans do not provide UV protection. • The more hydrated your skin is, both inside and out, the longer your tan will last.
